The second hymn its words and melody(from our hearts) are joyful and victorious, and there's just that sense of anticipation whilst singing the words unto the return of our Lord, very beautiful :)
Hope it encourages and brings joy to your hearts :)
Hymn 399 from Believer's Hymn Book:
Jesus, Lord, I need Thy presence
As i journey on my way,
For without Thee i am lonely,
And my feet are apt to stray;
But if Thou wilt walk with me
Life will calm and holy be.
Jesus, Lord, i need Thy wisdom,
For perplexing problems press,
And without Thee i am foolish,
Nor can bear the strain and stress;
But if Thou wilt counsel me
I shall true and upright be.
Jesus, Lord, I need Thy power,
For temptations come and go,
And without Thee I am helpless,
With no strength to meet the foe;
But if Thou wilt strengthen me
Life will all-triumphant be.
Jesus, Lord, I need Thy guidance,
Fire by night, and cloud by day,
For without them i am sightless,
Groping for the proper way;
But if Thou dost lead me on
I will follow Thee alone.
Jesus, Lord, Thy love so tender
Is my greatest need of all,
For without Thee pride and anger
From unguarded lips will fall;
But if Thou Thy love impart
I shall have a gracious heart.

Hymn 155 from the Believers Hymnbook
Midst the darkness, storm and sorrow,
One bright gleam i see;
Well i know the blessed morrow
Christ will come for me.
'Midst the light, and peace , and glory
Of the Father's home
Christ for me is waiting, watching,
Waiting till i come.
Long, the blessed Guide has led me
By the desert road;
Now i see the golden towers,
City of my God.
There, amidst the love and glory,
He is waiting yet;
On His hand a name is graven
He can ne'er forget.
There, amidst the songs of heaven,
Sweeter to His ear
Is the footfall through the desert
Ever drawing near.
There, made ready are the mansions
Glorious, bright and fair;
But the Bride the Father gave Him
Still is wanting there.
Who is this who comes to meet me
On the desert way,
As the Morning Star foretelling
God's unclouded day?
He it is who came to win me
On the Cross of shame;
In His glory well i know Him
Evermore the same.
O the blessed joy of meeting.
All the desert past!
O the wondrous words of greeting
He shall speak at last!
He and i together ent'ring
Those bright courts above;
He and I together sharing
All the Father's love.
Where no shade nor stain can enter.
Nor the gold be dim;
In that holiness unsullied
I shall walk with HIm.
Meet companion, then, for Jesus,
From Him, for Him made;
Glory of God's grace for ever
There in me displayed.
He, who in the hour of sorrow
Bore the curse alone;
I, who through the lonely desert
Trod where He had gone.
He and I in that bright glory
One deep joy shall share;
Mine, to be fore ever with Him,
His, that i am there.
